Looking for a Semrush discount or promo code? Here’s the honest answer: Semrush doesn’t publish public coupon codes, and we couldn’t find a working one to share. What does save you money are Semrush’s own official offers: a 7-day free trial, a free plan, and up to 17% off when you pay yearly. This page shows each one, what it really gives you, and how to claim it without being charged by surprise.
Every price and rule below comes from Semrush’s pricing page and refund policy, checked on the date shown. If Semrush runs a time-limited promotion, we’ll add it here once we’ve opened it and confirmed it.
Semrush discounts that actually work in 2026
| Way to save | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 7-day free trial | A paid plan free for 7 days (SEO, Starter or Pro+) | Testing Semrush on your own site |
| Pay yearly | Up to 17% off the monthly price | Anyone who’ll use it all year |
| Free plan | 10 report requests a day, 1 project, 10 tracked keywords | Occasional checks |
| Choose the right plan | Pay only for the tools you need | Bloggers and small sites |
1. The Semrush free trial (7 days)
Semrush offers a 7-day free trial on its SEO, Starter and Pro+ plans; the Advanced plan is subscribe-only. During the trial you use the full plan, so it’s the best way to see whether Semrush is worth paying for on your own site and keywords.
- You need a card. Semrush charges a small amount to check the card is valid and refunds it straight away. You aren’t charged for the plan until the trial ends.
- It renews automatically. Semrush’s refund policy says your first payment is charged automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
- Cancelling takes a form. You cancel by logging in to your account and submitting Semrush’s cancellation form; for trials, it takes effect within 3 business days of your request. So cancel at least a few days before the trial ends.

2. Pay yearly: save up to 17%
Semrush’s pricing page shows a saving of up to 17% when you pay for a year upfront. Here’s what that means for each plan:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly (per month) | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO | $139 | $117.33 | About 16% |
| Starter | $199 | $165.17 | About 17% |
| Pro+ | $299 | $248.17 | About 17% |
| Advanced | $549 | $455.67 | About 17% |

A yearly plan also comes with Semrush’s only money-back guarantee: a one-time, 7-day refund window for first subscriptions of twelve months or more (and first add-on purchases). Monthly plans don’t have one. So the safest order is: try the free trial first, then pay yearly only once you’re sure, knowing you still have 7 days to change your mind.
3. The free plan
If you only need Semrush now and then, a free account may be enough. Semrush says free users get up to 10 requests a day to its Analytics reports, can create and monitor one project, and can track 10 keywords in Position Tracking. Paid plans raise those limits a lot (the SEO plan allows 3,000 searches a day), but for a quick look at a competitor or a keyword, free works.
4. Pay for the plan you need
The biggest saving is often not overpaying. Semrush’s plans:
- SEO ($139 a month): basic keyword research and competitor analysis, 5 websites to monitor, 500 keywords tracked daily, site audit. Enough for most bloggers.
- Starter ($199): adds the full keyword research and optimization tools, competitor insights and AI visibility tracking.
- Pro+ ($299): adds historical SEO data, content optimization, keyword cannibalization analysis and 15 websites.
- Advanced ($549): for larger teams, with 40 websites, share of voice and API access.
Start with the smallest plan that does your job; you can upgrade at any time. For a closer look at the tools themselves, see the Semrush review.
What about Semrush coupon codes on other sites?
Searches for a Semrush promo code or coupon lead to many coupon sites. Be careful: codes there are often expired, invented to collect clicks, or simply link to the same free trial. Semrush’s checkout is the only place that decides the price, so if a code doesn’t change it there, it isn’t real. We list only offers we’ve confirmed on Semrush’s own pages.
Is Semrush worth paying for?
For anyone doing SEO seriously, Semrush is one of the most complete toolkits: its keyword database has more than 28 billion terms across 142 regional databases, and the same account covers competitor research, site audits and rank tracking. For a small blog, the SEO plan or even the free plan may be all you need.
If the price is too high, compare alternatives first. SE Ranking’s Core plan includes unlimited keyword research for $129 a month, and Ahrefs now has a $29 Starter plan; see the best keyword research tools and best backlink checker tools for side-by-side prices.
What to test during the trial
- Your own keywordsSearch the keywords you target and compare the volumes with your Search Console data.
- A competitorRun a competitor's domain through keyword and backlink research.
- A site auditAudit your site and check whether the issues it finds are ones you'd fix.
- Rank trackingAdd your main keywords to Position Tracking and see how it reports them.

Questions people ask
Is there a Semrush promo code?
Semrush doesn't publish public promo codes, and we found none that work. The real ways to save are its 7-day free trial, up to 17% off with yearly billing, and the free plan.
Does Semrush have a free trial?
Yes, 7 days on the SEO, Starter and Pro+ plans. You add a card; Semrush charges a small check amount and refunds it, then charges the plan only if you don't cancel before the trial ends.
How much do you save by paying Semrush yearly?
Up to 17%. For example, the SEO plan is $139 a month, or $117.33 a month billed yearly; Starter is $199 or $165.17; Pro+ $299 or $248.17.
Does Semrush offer refunds?
Semrush offers a one-time 7-day money-back guarantee on first subscriptions of 12 months or more and first add-on purchases. Monthly plans aren't covered.
Is the Semrush free plan enough?
For occasional checks, yes: 10 requests a day to Analytics reports, one project and 10 tracked keywords. Regular SEO work needs a paid plan.
Are Semrush coupon codes on coupon sites real?
Often not. Many are expired or invented, or just lead to the free trial. Only Semrush's checkout decides the price, so a real code would change it there.
