Features compared
Brand voice and context
Both WordHero and Jasper are built around remembering your brand. WordHero uses projects, Project Memory and brand voices (1 voice on Starter, 5 on Pro, 20 on Business). Jasper Pro includes 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences, and Business makes them unlimited. Writecream organises work by project and focuses more on a wide range of ready-made tools.
Long-form and SEO content
WordHero’s Articles workflow (Pro and Business) goes from keyword research to brief, outline, draft, featured image and a WordPress draft. Writecream says it can create 2,000+ word SEO articles by analysing competing pages, with a long-form editor and plagiarism check. Jasper’s Canvas platform and agents cover core marketing workflows on Pro, with agents for GEO (generative engine optimisation), translation and deep research on Business. None of them can guarantee rankings; WordHero says so explicitly.
Range of tools
Writecream offers the widest set of templates: it lists 75+ AI tools, including cold emails, LinkedIn messages, ad copy, product descriptions, Quora answers, voice-overs and podcasts, and AI images. WordHero focuses on marketing content across channels, with Canvases that turn one brief into a set of campaign assets. Jasper focuses on brand-controlled marketing at scale, with a no-code builder for custom AI agents, Jasper Grid for systematic content and API access on Business.
Teams and control
Jasper is the only one with enterprise-style governance: admin controls, groups, dedicated account management and flexible deployment on Business. WordHero Business allows up to 3 invited members; Writecream Pro Max includes 5 seats and lets you create and resell AI tools.
Languages, extras and support
WordHero says it writes in 108 languages and adds AI images and keyword research within plan limits (for example 100 keyword searches and 100 image credits a month on Pro). Writecream’s Unlimited plan includes 100 voice-overs and 100 AI images a month and 24×7 chat and email support, while Pro Max makes voice-overs and images unlimited. Jasper’s Business plan adds dedicated account management and priority support, plus translation agents.

WordHero vs Jasper
For a solo marketer or blogger, WordHero gives similar brand-memory features for much less: $39 a month (or $29 billed yearly) for Pro versus $69 (or $59) for Jasper Pro. Jasper makes more sense for a marketing team that needs governance, custom agents and enterprise support, and is willing to pay per seat for them.
WordHero vs Writecream
Writecream wins on price and variety: a usable free plan, unlimited words from $29 and 75+ tools including audio and images. WordHero wins on structure: brand memory, campaign Canvases and a connected keyword-to-WordPress workflow. If you mainly need lots of different short pieces cheaply, try Writecream; if you run campaigns and blogs that must sound consistent, try WordHero.
Jasper vs Writecream
These two sit at opposite ends. Jasper is a premium platform for teams that care about brand control and scale; Writecream is a budget all-rounder with a free plan. A small business or freelancer will usually get more value from Writecream; a marketing department with several brands will get more from Jasper.
The right tool for each job
| Job | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| SEO blog posts | WordHero Pro or Writecream | Keyword-to-draft workflow, or long SEO articles from competitor analysis |
| A launch campaign across channels | WordHero | One brief becomes connected assets on a Canvas |
| Cold emails, LinkedIn messages, Quora answers | Writecream | Dedicated tools for each |
| Voice-overs and podcasts | Writecream | Audio tools included |
| Brand content for a large team | Jasper Business | Unlimited brand context, governance, custom agents |
Free and entry plans: what you give up
Writecream’s free plan is genuinely usable for testing, but its 20 credits and 2 long articles run out fast if you write regularly. WordHero’s cheapest plan, Starter, has unlimited fair-use Standard writing but leaves out the Articles workflow and Enhanced writing, so bloggers will want Pro. Jasper has no cheaper tier than Pro; its trial is the only way to try it without paying.
Switching later
You’re not locked in. Copy your best brand-voice examples and project briefs into a document you keep yourself, so you can set up a new tool in minutes if you move. Drafts you’ve published live on your own site, and anything sent to WordPress as a draft stays there whichever tool you use next.
Which should you choose?
- Free or lowest cost: Writecream Free, then Unlimited at $29.
- A blogger or solo marketer who wants consistent, on-brand content: WordHero Pro.
- A small team on a budget: Writecream Pro Max (5 seats for $49) or WordHero Business (3 members).
- A marketing team needing governance and custom agents: Jasper Business.
How to test them fairly
- Use the same brief in each: one blog post, one email and three social posts for your own brand.
- Set up brand context first (brand voice or project details) so you compare their best output.
- Time your editing: the best tool is the one whose drafts need the least fixing.
- Watch the trial terms: WordHero’s trial needs a card and charges after 7 days unless you cancel; Jasper’s trial is also 7 days; Writecream’s free plan has no time limit.
Other AI writing tools to consider
If none of the three fits, general AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can write almost anything if you supply the brief and brand context each time, and tools like Copy.ai, Writesonic and Rytr cover similar marketing-writing jobs. We haven’t checked their current prices for this page, so compare them on their own sites using the same test brief.
A word on AI content and SEO
All three tools speed up writing, but Google’s spam policies warn against “scaled content abuse”: generating many pages, with AI or otherwise, mainly to manipulate rankings rather than help people. Use any of these tools for research and first drafts, add your own experience and checks, and publish only pages that genuinely help your readers. The keyword research guide helps you choose topics worth writing about, and the best keyword research tools cover research beyond what these writers include.
The bottom line
If money is tight or you want to try AI writing at no cost, start with Writecream’s free plan and move to Unlimited if you use it every week. If you’re a blogger or marketer who wants every piece to sound like your brand, and you like the idea of one brief turning into a whole campaign, WordHero Pro is the best value of the three. If you lead a marketing team that needs shared brand knowledge, approvals and custom AI agents across several people, Jasper is built for that, and its per-seat price reflects it. Whichever you choose, the tool writes the first draft; you still make it good.
